Team Phoenix and SA Olympic Coach, Vicky Drinkwater will be traveling to Budapest this evening to coach South Africa's two high profile Artistic Routines.
SA Artistic athlete, Laura Strugnell, will be competing in the Technical Solo on 17th June between 9am and 11am SA time.
Then on 24th June between 10am and 11:30am SA Time, in a small piece of history, Laura will then team up with SA's first male Artistic Swimmer Ayrton Sweeney as South Africa's first ever Mixed Duet takes to the pool. With less than 4 months of coaching and training behind them, it is a remarkable achievement to have made it to World Champs. It normally takes many years to get this far, but a combination of expert coaching and hard work and dedication has led to this moment. Read all about how it came together right here:
